Delete Your Account

Last updated July 10, 2026

You can delete your JAKstoc account and the data attached to it at any time. This page explains how to do it, what gets removed, and how long it takes. You do not need to install the app to make the request.

01Delete From the App or Web Dashboard

This is the fastest route and it is available on every platform.

  • Mobile app: open the Me tab, then Security, then Delete account.
  • Web dashboard at app.jakstoc.com: open Settings, then Security, then Delete account.

You will be asked to confirm with your password and to type a confirmation word. If other people in your organisation still use JAKstoc, you also choose the colleague who takes over your work. Once confirmed, your account is scheduled for deletion and you are signed out of every device.

02Delete Without Signing In

If you cannot sign in, use the request form at the bottom of this page. Enter the email address on the account and we will send it a confirmation link. The link opens a page where you make the same choices as in the app. Nothing is deleted until you confirm there, which stops anyone else from deleting your account by typing your address.

The link expires after 24 hours. You can also email [email protected] from the address on the account and a person will handle it.

03What Gets Deleted

Deleting your account removes your personal data from JAKstoc:

  • Your name, email address, phone number, job title and profile photo.
  • Your password, PIN, biometric grants, sessions and registered devices.
  • Your time entries and timesheets.
  • Your notifications, referral records and assistant history.

Your organisation’s records belong to the organisation, so they are not deleted while other people still use it. The colleague you choose takes over the awards you created or manage, your open tasks and draft expenses, and any timesheet approvals waiting on you. If the organisation would otherwise have no administrator, that colleague becomes one. Expenses, approvals and comments you recorded stay, shown as from a former member.

If you are the last active member of your organisation, the organisation is deleted with your account, including its awards, budgets, expenses, receipts, reports, tasks and time records. You confirm this by typing the organisation’s name.

If you only want to leave the organisation, ask an administrator to remove your access instead of deleting the account.

We keep the audit log, with your name detached from it. The log records actions taken across your whole organisation, and removing it would delete other people’s records as well as yours. Entries you created will show as taken by a deleted user.

04How Long It Takes

We hold the account for 30 days after the request, then delete it permanently. The grace period exists so an accidental or malicious request can be undone.

During those 30 days you can cancel by signing in and choosing Cancel deletion in the same Security screen, or by emailing [email protected]. After 30 days the deletion is permanent and we cannot recover the data.

05Subscriptions and Billing

Deleting your account does not by itself cancel a paid subscription. Cancel the subscription from your billing settings, or email [email protected] and we will cancel it with the deletion request.

We retain billing and tax records where the law requires us to, separately from your account, and we do not use them for anything else.

06Questions

Email [email protected] and a person will reply. If you want a copy of your data before you delete it, ask and we will send an export first.

Use this if you cannot sign in, or if you would rather not install the app. We email a confirmation link to the address on the account, and nothing is deleted until you click it.
